The Origin And Principle Of Butter Nipple Joints

Update:13 Aug 2020

Grease Nipple Coupler is one of our products, also called heavy-duty B60 grease gun coupler or adapter, mainly used to connect the grouting machine with the grouting packer. The following is an introduction to the grease nipple connector.
Grease nipple joints are a kind of grease fittings, and grease fittings refer to permanent installation through (tapered) threads or direct push fit ("hammered") structure, and the remaining grease nipple is connected to the grease gun. The pressure provided by the grease gun forces a small fixed bearing ball in the assembly to move backward against the force of its fixed spring. Therefore, the device is essentially a valve that opens under pressure to allow lubricant to pass through the passage and be forced into the gap in the bearing. When the pressure stops, the ball returns to its closed position. The ball removes dirt and acts as a check valve to prevent grease from escaping from the fitting. The ball is almost flush with the surface of the fitting, so it can be wiped clean to reduce the amount of debris carried by the grease into the bearing.
The ordinary convex shape of the fitting allows the concave tip of the grease gun to easily seal the fitting from multiple angles, while having a tight enough seal to force the pressurized grease to move the ball and enter the fitting instead of simply infiltrating this Temporary ring (ring) seal.
The less common designs have some names, including "button head", "theepenny bit", "flat" and "tat head". These are larger nipple heads with a flat sealing surface that extends out of the body of the nipple, allowing one end of the grease gun to hook onto the nipple by sliding action and wipe the nipple surface when connected. The hose of a grease gun is usually at an acute angle (for example, 70-90°) to the axis of the nipple, but it can be approached from any azimuth angle. Grease pressure cannot force this type of connector away from the nipple.
Grease fittings, such as grease fittings, are usually made of galvanized steel, stainless steel or brass. The material of our products is stainless steel.
